A Strange Intersection - Thinkers & Makers Lecture Series

  • North Way Christian Community, Oakland 120 Mckee Pl Pittsburgh, PA, 15213 United States (map)

Join Michael as he explores the nexus of faith, politics and humanity in a new lecture series, Thinkers & Makers. Michael stood at this nexus in his time in the White House and on the campaign trail, and as a consultant and writer, he continues to wrestle with this tension between faith and public life. Michael will speak to the current culture of cynicism in politics and the big issues in the coming 2016 election, while also giving Christians some tools to thoughtfully navigate these issues.

About Thinkers & Makers (from the website):

"Thinkers & Makers is a lecture series designed to provoke thinking outside of our pre-existing mental frameworks. As Christians, we believe that we are to be unafraid and undaunted by the cultural, political, religious, and human issues that face our families, our churches, and our country. We believe that Christians should be at the forefront, leading the conversation and seeking to cultivate redemption and transformation in each of these four areas.

Through Thinkers & Makers we are seeking to strategically engage business, health care, technology, education, political, human services, nonprofit, and religious leaders and communities throughout Pittsburgh at the intersection of faith and culture."
